This month has been a crazy sock month, and it’s still not done! I could potentially finish more socks!
First up, my Bellingrath socks. I test knit these for my friend IrishgirlieKnits and Kollage yarns, but I forgot to take a photo of the finished pair before sending them off, so here’s just the first sock, so I can show it off anyway. (ACtually, I thought I’d taken a photo, but I can’t find one anywhere, so I guess I didn’t.) The yarn is Kollage Yarns Sock-A-Licious, and it’s exactly that! I can’t wait to get more of this yarn. The colorway is Stormy.

Next up, I have my Hermione’s Every Day Socks. The yarn is Socks that Rock Lightweight in Sweet Pea, which is a sweet color we received in the Rockin’ Sock Club this year. The colorway was not my favorite when I opened the package, but it kinda grew on me, and it looks lovely in this pattern.

And finally, we have the socks I just finished last night. Everyone Outta the Pool! The yarn is Socks that Rock Lightweight in a Rare Gem that I got from a friend last year. We all bought yarn in the sale, but I loved this one that she got, so we traded. For hardcore STR fans, it kinda looks to me like Garden Daze overdyed in teal/blue. This an interesting pattern, too. Toe Up with a no-hole short-row heel, and a double knit cuff that’s grafted together. It’s kind of amazing. I look forward to using the heel instructions for my next toe-up sock because it really worked … no holes!!

This makes pairs 4, 5, and 6 in the 52 Pair Plunge. I’m woefully behind, but I have enough on the needles that I could catch up. I like to think so, anyway. I’m working on another test-knit, but it’s only a single sock. I have a few hibernating sock projects to finish, too. I signed up for a ravelry group called Six Sock September, where the goal is to start and finish (knit or crochet) 3 pairs of socks in September. A nice warm-up for Socktoberfest, I think.
We’ll see if I actually do it or not. I’m planning a simple self-striping pair, and I think I want to break out some Knit Clinic yarn that my friend Liz was dying before I moved to TX. Lots of socky plans.
