Contest for a Cause

4/16/08: I have been chummed!! Thanks to adminnie for adding a post about my walk and the contest to the Daily Chum, and thank you to everyone who has donated. You rock!

As you may or may not know, I am participating in the Breast Cancer 3-Day benefiting the Susan G. Komen Foundation. I am walking in the San Francisco walk, and I would like your help!! :)

I need to raise $2200, and I would lovelovelove for you to help. Aside from the goodness in your heart that you will feel for donating to an awesome cause, I am holding a contest that will run from now through Sunday, September 7, which is the last day of the walk here. I know it’s a LONG time, but I’m trying to meet my goal as early as possible so I don’t have to worry about it. I’m more worried about trying to raise a couple grand than I am about walking 60 miles in 3 days!

Like I said before, I am hosting a contest. For every $10 that you donate, your name will be entered into the drawing for what will hopefully be some awesome prizes! :) I’m stash-diving, but I’m hoping to get some more prizes as well. I’m still working on that, though. :) Not only THAT, though, but you have chances to gain BONUS entries!!

Here’s what you do:

1. Make a donation on my 3day.org donation page, and email me at 3dayunraveled@gmail.com telling me how much you donated or leave a comment letting me know you made a donation. ($10=1 entry, $20=2 entries, $50=5 entries, $100=10 entries)
2. Tell everyone else! Put a link on your blog to this entry or to my 3day.org donation page, and email me at 3dayunraveled@gmail.com or leave a comment with the post URL so I can check out your blog & you get a BONUS entry!
3. If someone tells me they found my page via your blog, you get *ANOTHER* BONUS ENTRY!
4. If you have something you would like to donate for a prize, please send me an email at 3dayunraveled@gmail.com or hello DOT lovely AT gmail DOT com. Prize donors receive a BONUS ENTRY!

I know knitters are generous people, and I hope that you can still spare a couple of dollars for my fundraising efforts! :) I’m not trying to make records or blow people out of the water… I just want to make my goal & give people some yarny thank you’s. :)

Thank you for your support in advance! :)
